Meetings or emails are missing
Spiich reads only your primary calendar and skips all-day and solo events, so a missing meeting is usually a visibility rule rather than a fault. Briefings also pause themselves after ten days of unopened digests.
Email and calendar connections in Spiich are per person, not per workspace, so everything here is something you can check on your own account. Most "missing" meetings are meetings Spiich never imports on purpose. Read the rules first, then the connection checks.
A meeting is missing from My Day
Spiich never imports these, and they never get a briefing:
- All-day events.
- Events with one attendee or fewer. Focus blocks, reminders and out-of-office entries fall into this category.
- Zero-length entries, unless a recording is attached to them.
- Anything on a secondary calendar, a shared calendar, or a calendar you subscribe to. Only your primary calendar is read.
If the event has at least one other attendee and a real start and end time, the next thing to check is timing. Google calendars push changes as they happen. Microsoft 365 calendars refresh on the hourly sync, so an event added minutes ago is not there yet. My Day also shows only meetings you are an attendee of, and loads at most 100 meetings per day.
A cancelled meeting still showing in Spiich is the same story in reverse. Google cancellations arrive with the next push-triggered sync; other removals are cleaned up on the nightly pass. If it survives past the following day, disconnect and reconnect the provider.
My Day asks you to connect a calendar
The screen "Connect your calendar to use My Day" means neither Google Workspace nor Microsoft 365 is connected on your user. Click Connect Google Workspace or Connect Microsoft 365 on that screen and you are returned to My Day when the consent flow finishes.
The wrong account is connected
Spiich supports one email and calendar provider per person. If the Connect button on the card you want reads "Unavailable", or you get "Cannot Connect", the other provider is still connected.
Open the three-dot menu on the connected provider's card at Settings > Integrations, choose Disconnect, confirm, then connect the one you actually want.
A permission reads "Not granted"
An amber "Not granted" next to Gmail, Calendar, Outlook Mail or Meet means that permission was unticked on the provider's consent screen, so Spiich cannot read that source. The same thing surfaces in Chat as a Reconnect warning on the Email search or Calendar search row instead of a toggle.
Click Reconnect on the provider card, or click the tool row in Chat, and approve every permission the consent screen asks for. Metrics that depend on a missing source quietly return nothing rather than erroring, so this is worth checking whenever a number looks too low.
Your connection expired
An alert saying Spiich can no longer see new calendar events or email means the access token was revoked or expired, usually after a password change, an account reset, or an admin revoking app access. Click Reconnect in the alert, or go to Settings > Integrations > Email and calendar and reconnect the provider card. See Connect Gmail and Google Calendar or Connect Outlook and Microsoft 365.
Briefings stopped arriving
| Cause | How you tell | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Briefings paused themselves | My Day shows a "Meeting preps are paused" banner. Delivered digests went unopened for 10 days. | Click Turn preps back on. Today's meetings are prepared immediately and the banner reports progress. |
| The switch is off | Settings > User Settings > Meeting briefings shows "Send Meeting Briefings" off. | Turn it back on there. The unsubscribe link at the bottom of the digest email does not land on this page, so go directly. |
| The wrong timezone | The digest arrives at an odd hour. It is sent at 6 AM in the timezone on your profile, and defaults to Europe/Stockholm when unset. | Set your timezone at Settings > User Settings > Meeting briefings. |
| The subscription or trial lapsed | Digests stop entirely. Briefings only go to accounts with an active subscription or live trial. | Sort billing, then check again the next morning. |
A single meeting can also be skipped by design, and the card says which rule applied: everyone is on your own domain so the meeting is internal, the only external attendees use personal mail domains so there is no company to research, there are more than 50 attendees, or the meeting starts more than 24 hours away. A card that reads "Preparing briefing" and never fills in is still running or has failed; if it turns into "We couldn't generate a briefing for this meeting", two failed attempts have marked it dead and we need to reset it. More in Meeting briefings.
Emails Spiich cannot see
If the assistant answers "No email client connected", connect a provider at Settings > Integrations. If it cannot see emails you know are in the CRM, an admin may have turned off the agent's access to CRM-synced email at Settings > Object Types, or the messages came from Attio, where mail is visible only to the people who were on it.
What Spiich will not do with your calendar
Calendar and mailbox access are both read-only. Spiich cannot create, edit, move, cancel or RSVP to an event, and it cannot send mail or save drafts into your mailbox. Every follow-up is handed to your own mail client with the message pre-filled so you press Send. If you asked Spiich to move a meeting and nothing happened, make the change in Google Calendar or Outlook: it is picked up immediately on Google and within the hour on Microsoft.
Still stuck
Email hello@spiich.ai with the meeting date and title, which provider you have connected, and what the provider card at Settings > Integrations says. Add a screenshot of any "Not granted" row. You can also use the contact form.
