Teach Spiich how you work

Settings > Agent Customization holds your role, responsibilities and communication style, plus organization context only an admin can edit. Memory keeps your standing preferences across every chat.

Spiich is more useful when it knows who you are, what you sell and how you like to be written to. Two places control that: Settings > Agent Customization for the standing facts, and the memory dialog for how you work day to day.

Your own fields

Go to Settings > Agent Customization and look at User information. Every member can edit these for themselves, and each field saves when you click away, with a Changes saved toast.

FieldWhat it changes
Job TitleThe lens Spiich answers through. An AE gets deal mechanics; a sales lead gets pipeline shape.
ResponsibilitiesWhat it assumes is your job to act on, so it prioritizes the right follow-ups.
Communication PreferencesTone, length and format of what it writes back to you.
Speech Recognition LanguageThe language it transcribes your dictation in. See Update your CRM by voice.

If you skipped this at signup, Spiich will offer once in chat, after a few messages, with a dialog headed Make Spiich work more like you. Choosing Not now defers it.

The organization fields

Below User information sits Organization information. This is the shared context that grounds every assistant in the workspace, so one rep's chat and another rep's background agent describe your company the same way.

FieldWhat it changes
Organization NameRead-only for everyone on this page.
DescriptionWhat your company is, in the words Spiich uses when it writes about you.
Value PropositionThe argument it reaches for in outreach and objection handling.
Target CustomerYour ICP. Drives qualification, scoring and prospecting.
Custom Agent InstructionsStanding rules for everyone: what to always do, what never to do.

A workspace with teams can go further: an admin can override the description, value proposition, target customer and custom instructions per team, so a new-business team and a renewals team get different framing from the same workspace. Fields not overridden inherit the organization default. See Teams.

How memory works

Agent Customization holds facts. Memory holds preferences: how you want Spiich to behave, everywhere, without you repeating it.

  1. Open it

Press Cmd+K and choose Memory under Go to. There is no sidebar button for it.

  2. Decide what it may draw on

Use past chats pulls relevant messages from older conversations into new ones. Use saved preferences applies your style and operating rules. Either can be switched off.

  3. Fill in your preferences

The fields are grouped under About you, Communication, Instructions and Other: Name, Role and context, Language and tone, Writing style, Operational rules and more. Edits save automatically as you click away.

  4. Check what it took

The dialog is headed What Spiich remembers, and it is explicit about scope: Only preferences about how you work. CRM facts, people, and research do not belong here.

Good things to put in memory: "always write in British English", "never use exclamation marks", "when I ask for a follow-up, keep it under 120 words", "always give me dates as day, month, year". Bad things to put in memory: anything about a specific account, which belongs in the CRM.

Forget all wipes everything Spiich has stored about you, after a confirmation. It cannot be undone.

When to use which

  • A fact about you or your company that rarely changes goes in Agent Customization.
  • A standing preference about behavior goes in memory.
  • A method you invoke deliberately for certain requests goes in a Skill. See Skills, the Prompt Library and Quick Actions.

Limits

  • The memory preference editor is disabled until you have at least one conversation. It says so: Start a conversation before editing saved preferences.
  • Memory is reachable only through the command palette.
  • Organization Name cannot be edited on the Agent Customization page by anyone.
  • Personal fields are yours alone. Changing your communication preferences does not change how Spiich writes for a colleague.

If something goes wrong

  • The organization fields are greyed out. You are not an admin. Ask one to make the change, or to grant you admin rights. See Manage your team.
  • Spiich keeps applying a preference you no longer want. It is stored in saved preferences. Open Cmd+K > Memory, edit or clear the field, or switch Use saved preferences off.
  • Spiich brings up context from unrelated old chats. Use past chats is on. Switch it off in the memory dialog, or start a fresh chat and state the scope explicitly.
  • Nothing you set seems to be applied. Check both switches in the memory dialog are on, and that the field you filled in is in the right place: tone belongs in memory or Communication Preferences, not in your job title.

Frequently asked questions

No. Memory and the User information fields are personal to you. Only the Organization information block is shared, and only admins can edit it, though every member can read it.
