Connect your CRM

Spiich syncs with one CRM per workspace: HubSpot, Attio or Pipedrive, connected once over OAuth by a CRM admin and shared by everyone on the workspace. The first import then runs in the background.

Before you start

  • You are an admin in the CRM you want to connect, or you can send the connection link to someone who is.
  • No other CRM is connected to your Spiich workspace.

Spiich works from your CRM. Until one is connected, Chat has nothing to read, your tables are empty and background agents have nothing to act on. Connecting takes about a minute of clicking; the import that follows runs on its own.

Which CRMs you can connect

Three CRMs connect themselves, over OAuth, from inside Spiich:

Salesforce is set up together with the Spiich team during onboarding rather than self-serve, because it is mapped to your own objects, fields and validation rules. Get in touch and we will scope it with you.

One CRM, one workspace, everyone

Two rules shape everything else on this page.

One CRM at a time. Spiich keeps a single source of truth, so a workspace connects exactly one of HubSpot, Attio or Pipedrive. Once one is connected the other two cards read Unavailable, and clicking through shows You can only connect to one CRM at a time. Please disconnect your current CRM first.

The connection belongs to the workspace, not to you. One person approves it and every member of the workspace reads and writes through that same connection. This is the opposite of mail and calendar, which each person connects for themselves: see Connect Gmail and Google Calendar. Nobody else has to repeat the CRM step.

Approval has to come from someone who is an admin in the CRM itself. Being a Spiich admin is not enough; the consent screen belongs to HubSpot, Attio or Pipedrive.

Connect the CRM

  1. Open the CRM section

Go to Settings > Integrations and scroll to CRM platform. During signup this same screen is step 3 of 4, titled Connect your CRM.

  2. Start the connection

Click Connect HubSpot, Connect Attio or Connect Pipedrive on the card you want. If a card reads Unavailable, another CRM is already connected.

  3. Approve the permissions

Sign in to the CRM if you are not already, pick the portal, workspace or company account you want linked, and approve everything on the consent screen.

  4. Let the first import run

You land back in Spiich. The card turns green with a Connected badge and Chat shows Setting Up Your Workspace with a progress bar until the import finishes.

If you are not an admin in your CRM

On the signup screen you can hand the job to whoever is:

  1. Tick I'm not a CRM admin - I'll need to share the integration link with my admin to complete the setup.
  2. Click the card for your CRM.
  3. Click Copy Link. Spiich confirms with Link Copied!.
  4. Send the link to your CRM admin. When they open it, sign in and approve, the workspace is connected.

What the first import does

Spiich imports in two passes: record shells first, then every field value and relationship. You get people, companies, deals, tasks and notes from all three CRMs, plus whatever else that CRM offers (HubSpot calls, meetings and sales emails; Attio lists and call recordings; Pipedrive activities).

How long it takes depends on how many records you hold. The progress screen tells you it is indexing roughly 30 records per second, and records move 100 at a time, so a small portal is minutes and a very large one is longer. Leave it running: the screen clears itself and the workspace admin gets an email when the first sync finishes. Large imports are a good moment to book the onboarding call the same screen offers.

What keeps it current afterwards

Once the import is done, nothing is manual. There is no Sync now button anywhere in Spiich, and you do not need one.

  • Attio and Pipedrive push webhooks for record, note, task and list changes.
  • HubSpot pushes webhooks for contacts, companies and deals, and Spiich polls everything else on a five-minute cycle.
  • Once an hour Spiich re-reads your field definitions, Attio lists and CRM users.

Writes go the other way in the same action. When you or an agent creates or edits a record, task or note in Spiich, it is pushed to the CRM immediately. If the CRM rejects the write, Spiich rolls its own change back, so a record never survives in Spiich that your CRM refused.

Limits

  • One CRM per workspace, with no self-service disconnect. A connected CRM shows a greyed-out Connected button with no menu. Switching CRMs is a support request, so pick deliberately.
  • Reconnecting has to target the same account. Attio checks the workspace, HubSpot checks the portal ID, Pipedrive checks the API domain.
  • Only Spiich workspace admins can reauthorize a connection. What the agent may read and write is set at Settings > Object Types; see Control what Spiich can see and change.
  • Settings > Object Types only appears once a CRM is connected and has finished its first import.

If something goes wrong

*The Connect button reads `Unavailable`, or you get Cannot Connect.* Another CRM is already connected to this workspace. Use it, or contact support to switch.

Chat is stuck on Setting Up Your Workspace. The first import has not reached 100%. Progress is checked every five seconds and the screen clears itself. Large CRMs simply take longer.

*A banner in Chat says Reconnect to <CRM>. Spiich needs a permission the current connection does not hold. An admin clicks Reauthenticate* and approves the consent screen. Members never see this banner, so ask an admin.

You see a workspace mismatch error after reconnecting. You signed in to a different portal, workspace or account than the one already linked. Sign out of the CRM, sign back in to the original one, and try again.

Frequently asked questions

No. The CRM connection is workspace-wide. One CRM admin approves it once and everyone on the workspace reads and writes through it. Mail and calendar are different: each person connects their own mailbox from Settings > Integrations.
