How much does Salesforce Agentforce cost?

Agentforce costs $2 per conversation for customer-facing agents, or $0.10 per agent action when paid in Flex Credits. Unmetered use for employees costs $125 per user a month as an add-on, or comes with the Max edition at $550. Core and Advanced include 500,000 and 1 million Flex Credits per org a year.

Every price below is a US list price from Salesforce's Agentforce pricing page and its Flex Credits rate card (dated 31 August 2026), checked on 12 October 2026. The worked costs are our arithmetic on those prices, before discounts and before Data 360 credits.

What are the Agentforce pricing models?

Salesforce sells Agentforce four ways: Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000, Conversations at $2 each, a $5 user license that draws on Flex Credits, and per-user add-ons from $125 a month for unmetered employee use. Core, Advanced and Max editions bundle a yearly pool of Flex Credits on top of the seat price.

ModelList priceWhat it pays for
Flex Credits$500 per 100,000 creditsEvery agent, customer-facing or employee. 20 credits ($0.10) per action, 30 ($0.15) per voice action
Conversations$2 per conversationCustomer-facing agents only, whatever number of actions a conversation takes
Agentforce User License$5 per user a month, plus Flex CreditsMetered employee use, with access to limited CRM objects
Agentforce add-on (Sales, Service, Field Service)$125 per user a monthUnmetered employee use; $150 for the Industries add-ons
Core, Advanced, Max editions$195, $395, $550 per user a month500,000, 1 million and 2.75 million Flex Credits per org a year; Max includes the add-on

Prices from Salesforce's Agentforce pricing page and its 3 September 2026 editions announcement, billed annually. An org cannot pay in Flex Credits and Conversations at the same time, so the choice between them covers every customer-facing agent you run.

What does one Agentforce action cost?

One standard or custom agent action costs 20 Flex Credits, which is $0.10 at list. A voice action costs 30 credits, or $0.15. An action counts once however many tokens it uses. Prompts run outside an agent cost 2 to 16 credits per 2,000 tokens, and sandbox actions cost 16 credits.

Usage typeCreditsList cost
Standard or custom action20 (16 in a sandbox)$0.10
Voice action30 (24 in a sandbox)$0.15
Starter or basic prompt, per 2,000 tokens2$0.01
Standard prompt, per 2,000 tokens4$0.02
Advanced prompt, per 2,000 tokens16$0.08
Help Agent resolution400$2.00
Sales lead worked by the Engagement agent400 (320 in a sandbox)$2.00
Speech to text, per hour150$0.75

Credit counts from the Flex Credits rate card; dollar costs are ours at $0.005 a credit. Salesforce's metering guide says an action is metered "irrespective of the number of tokens processed", so the "10,000 tokens per action" limit still quoted in some guides no longer applies.

Flex Credits or Conversations: which is cheaper?

Flex Credits are cheaper whenever an average conversation takes fewer than 20 agent actions. A $2 conversation buys 400 credits, which is 20 standard actions or about 13 voice actions. Salesforce's own examples use one to five actions per task, so most customer-facing agents cost less on Flex Credits.

Salesforce's pricing page prices its order-status example at two actions (40 credits) and its field service scheduling example at five actions (100 credits). At five actions, a conversation costs $0.50 on Flex Credits against $2 on Conversations.

Conversations still make sense in one case: long, open-ended chats where you cannot predict the number of actions and want a fixed price per conversation. To move from Conversations to Flex Credits, Salesforce's pricing FAQ says you swap every Conversation product on the contract.

When is the $125 add-on worth it?

The $125 add-on beats paying per action once a user's agents run about 1,250 actions a month, or 62 per working day. Below that, Flex Credits cost less. The add-on also brings agents that Core and Advanced don't include, so price it on those too.

The Lead Nurture, Prospecting and Pipeline Management agents are available for purchase on Core and Advanced and included in Max, according to Salesforce's Sales Cloud pricing page. The arithmetic: $125 buys 1,250 actions at $0.10. In Salesforce's case management example, a service rep uses three actions on each of three cases a day, 20 days a month. That is 180 actions, or $18 a month per user on Flex Credits, against $125 on the add-on.

"Unmetered" has limits. Agents that run on a schedule or from an automated flow are metered even for add-on users, and Data 360 credits are still consumed, according to Salesforce's metering logic page.

What does Agentforce cost at real volumes?

A service agent handling 5,000 chats a month costs $10,000 on Conversations or $2,000 on Flex Credits at four actions a chat. An Engagement agent working 500 new leads a month costs $1,000. Twenty reps on the Sales add-on cost $30,000 a year on top of their seats.

Our arithmetic on Salesforce's list prices, checked 12 October 2026, before discounts, Data 360 credits and the credits an edition includes. On Conversations, the Engagement agent uses one Conversation per lead, counted when it sends the first email (Salesforce). On Flex Credits it uses 400 credits per lead worked, according to the rate card. A lead generally counts once in a rolling 30 days, or twice when the agent in a web chat also tries to create the lead (Salesforce).

Core's 500,000 included credits a year cover 25,000 actions, worth $2,500 at list, or about five weeks of the Flex Credits chat agent above. For what each edition includes for a sales team, see Agentforce for Sales.

What else changes the bill?

Testing costs credits, unused credits expire and pay as you go covers Flex Credits only. Building an agent is free, but previewing it, running tests and using a sandbox are all metered. Flex Credits don't roll over into the next term. Overage is billed monthly at your contracted rate, with no penalty.

  • Testing is metered. Building in Agentforce Builder is free, but previewing an agent, Testing Center, Agentforce Grid and sandbox use all draw credits (Salesforce).
  • No overage penalty. Use beyond what you bought is billed monthly at your contracted rate (Salesforce).
  • No rollover. Unused Flex Credits expire at the end of the term (Salesforce). Size a pre-purchase on a month of real use, not on a forecast.
  • Three ways to buy credits. Pre-purchase, pay as you go, and pre-commit with a true-up at term end (pre-commit is not yet widely available). Conversations and the add-ons are not sold on pay as you go or pre-commit (Salesforce).
  • Flex Credits need Salesforce Foundations, according to Salesforce's Flex Credits guide.
  • Old contracts keep their prices. Customers on Enterprise or Unlimited keep their existing pricing, and Agentforce 1 customers can move to Max at no extra cost (Salesforce).

Yes. Salesforce publishes a Flex Credit Pricing Calculator, and its pricing page shows five worked examples. For a quick check, multiply actions per task by 20 credits, then by monthly volume, then by $0.005. See HubSpot AI for how HubSpot prices its agents in credits.
No. Spiich writes meeting notes, opportunity updates and follow-up tasks into Salesforce through its own agents, so it draws no Flex Credits. See Spiich for Salesforce.

How should you budget for Agentforce?

Count actions before you sign. Run one agent in a sandbox on 50 real cases, then divide the credits used by 50, and by 16 (the sandbox rate), to get actions per task. Multiply by your monthly volume and $0.10, then compare that with $2 a conversation and $125 a user.

If the average task takes fewer than 20 actions, buy Flex Credits. If one user's agents run more than 62 actions a working day, price the add-on.
