What AI features does Attio have for data enrichment?

Attio enriches records in three ways. Built-in enrichment fills company and person details from a domain or email at no credit cost. AI attributes summarize, classify, complete prompts or research the web for each record, for 1 to 10 credits a record. Workflows run the same AI on a trigger, billed by tokens.

Every plan gate, credit rate and price below was checked on Attio's own pricing page and help center on 12 October 2026. Guides that list Plus at $29 and Pro at $69 show Attio's older prices.

What does Attio enrich automatically?

Attio fills a company's name, description, logo, category, social profiles and location from its domain, and a person's name, description, photo, social profiles and location from their email. Plus adds employee count and ARR, and Pro adds funding raised. It uses no credits, but it fills no emails or phone numbers.

From Attio's plans and features guide, checked 12 October 2026. Attio's enrichment guide says the data comes from third-party providers, that a person needs an email and a company a domain, and that enriched data can't be exported.

Values you type yourself are never overwritten by enrichment, and you can export those. To find emails or phone numbers, add an app from Attio's app store. Hunter, which Attio builds, finds emails in workflows using your own Hunter API key.

How do Attio AI attributes enrich records?

An AI attribute is a column that Attio fills with AI, record by record. Summarize record writes text, Prompt completion writes text, numbers or currency, Classify record picks from a list, and Web agent searches the web for each record. They run when you trigger them, on one record or a whole view, not on their own.

AI attribute typeWhat it fillsCredits per record
Summarize recordA summary from the record's attributes1
Prompt completionText, a number or a currency from your prompt1
Classify recordA select or multi-select option1
Web agentResearched text, a number or a currency, with sources10

Credit rates from Attio's credits guide, checked 12 October 2026. Web agent was previously called Research agent.

A text attribute that returns nothing has its credits refunded. A Classify record run that finds no matching option, and has no fallback saves nothing but still uses its credit, according to the same credits guide, so set a fallback option. Attio's AI attributes guide says values "do not run automatically", so new records stay blank until a person or a workflow runs them.

How much does Attio AI enrichment cost?

AI enrichment draws on workspace credits: 1,500 a month on Plus and 10,000 on Pro. A 1-credit attribute on 1,000 records fits both. Web research on 1,000 records uses 10,000 credits, the whole Pro pool, and costs a Plus workspace a $120 monthly pack. Extra packs cost $70 to $475 a month on annual billing.

JobCreditsPlus ($35 a seat, 1,500 credits)Pro ($79 a seat, 10,000 credits)

5,000 records, Web agent50,000+50,000 pack: $475 a month+50,000 pack: $475 a month

Our arithmetic on Attio's pricing page and credits guide, checked 12 October 2026, with annual billing and nothing else using credits. Packs are monthly add-ons: +5,000 credits cost $70, +10,000 $120, +25,000 $260 and +50,000 $475 a month, or $85, $150, $330 and $595 on monthly billing.

At those rates, Web agent costs about 10 to 14 cents a record on annual billing, or 12 to 17 cents on monthly billing, once the included credits are used. Admins pick a pack from a dropdown under Manage credits in billing settings. Workflows and integration blocks draw on the same workspace pool, so budget enrichment and automations together. Ask Attio spends each seat's personal credits first, then workspace credits.

How do you enrich new Attio records automatically?

Use a workflow. Start it with a Record created trigger, filter to the records worth researching, add a Web agent or Custom agent block, then an Update record block to save the answer to an attribute. Attio bills AI blocks by tokens and each record write at 1 credit.

Attio's credits guide says workflow credits are "only consumed when a block writes data, sends or receives something externally, or uses AI". Triggers, filters and lookups are free, and a failed block costs nothing, nor do the blocks after it.

On a Record created trigger, every new record that passes the filter is researched and billed, so filter hard before the agent block.

How do you set up AI enrichment in Attio?

Add a domain to every company and an email to every person, and built-in enrichment fills the rest. For AI enrichment, create an attribute, turn on AI autofill, pick the type and write the prompt. Test it on ten records, then run the column header's Run AI autofill on the whole view.

  1. Fill the keys. Built-in enrichment needs a domain on companies and an email on people. Records without them stay blank.
  2. Create the attribute. Add a text, number, currency, select or multi-select attribute and turn on AI autofill.
  3. Pick the type and prompt. Choose Summarize record, Prompt completion, Classify record or Web agent, and reference the attributes it should read. For Web agent, turn on confidence levels so reps can see how sure it is.
  4. Filter before you run. Save a view with only the records you want enriched. Attio's guide says a prompt that tells the AI to skip records doesn't work.
  5. Test, then run. Run it on ten records by selecting them and choosing Recalculate with AI. Then use the column header's Run AI autofill and confirm the credit estimate.
  6. Watch credits. Check usage under Workspace settings, then Billing, then Credits.

What results have Attio customers reported?

Granola, the AI notepad company, reports lead triage 83% faster on Attio, with daily lead review down from two hours to 20 minutes, according to Attio's Granola case study. Its setup combines Attio workflows with Clay for enrichment. It is a customer-reported figure published by Attio, and it measures triage, not enrichment alone.

Which Attio enrichment should you turn on first?

Fill domains and emails first, since built-in enrichment is free. Then add one Classify record attribute that sorts companies against your ideal customer profile, at 1 credit a record. Run it on a view of 100 companies and check 20 results by hand.

If more than two of the 20 are wrong, rewrite the prompt before you run it on the rest. Add Web agent research only for the companies that pass, so the 10-credit runs go where a rep will use them.
