The Best Granola Alternatives for Sales Teams in 2026

Granola attaches a note to the CRM and stops there. Eight alternatives for sales teams, compared on CRM updates, languages, bots and where the data is stored.

What is the best Granola alternative for sales teams?

Granola is an AI notepad that records meetings without a bot and turns your rough notes into a clean summary. For a sales team, the best alternative is one that also updates the CRM. Spiich makes full deal updates, Fireflies.ai fills fields a rep approves, and Fathom is the free option.

Granola's own CRM integrations attach the note to a HubSpot or Attio record, and nothing else on the record changes. Pick by what the CRM should look like after the call:

  • Spiich if the call should leave the CRM updated: people, company and deal, a task and a follow-up draft, on HubSpot, Attio or Pipedrive, with optional EU data residency.
  • Fireflies.ai if you run HubSpot or Salesforce and a rep should approve each field update.
  • Fathom if the budget is zero and the CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • tl;dv, Leexi or Jamie for a notetaker hosted in Europe. Leexi fills the most CRM fields of the three, and Jamie is the closest to Granola.
  • HubSpot's own notetaker if you already pay for Sales Hub.
  • Keep Granola if the notes are for you, not for the CRM.

Every price and capability here was checked on the vendors' own pages on 26 October 2026.

Granola writes the meeting down and leaves the CRM to the rep.

How do you choose a Granola alternative for a sales team?

Ask three questions. Does it change the CRM record, or only attach a note? Does it transcribe your buyers' languages on every device you record on, and where is the recording stored? Does a bot join the call? For most sales teams, the answer to the first question decides it.

Record or note? A manager might read a note. The forecast is built from the stage, the next step, the contacts and the close date, and reps rarely type those in after a call. Ask each vendor which of them it writes, on which plan, and whether it creates a record when none exists.

Your buyers' languages? Selling into Stockholm, Copenhagen and Munich means Swedish, Danish and German, on the desktop and on the phone.

Bot or no bot? Some buyers object to an extra attendee called Notetaker. Without a bot, telling the room it is being recorded falls to the rep.

What does Granola do, and where do sales teams outgrow it?

Granola records your computer's audio without a bot and rewrites the notes you type against the transcript. Sales teams outgrow it at three points. The CRM gets a note instead of an update, the phone apps skip Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, and the data stays in the US.

It runs on macOS and Windows, with phone apps for meetings in person, and the missing bot is what its reviewers keep praising.

  • A note, not an update. On the Business plan, Granola adds a meeting or a note to the HubSpot record you pick. In Attio, it adds a note to a person or company. Neither integration documents writing a field, moving a deal stage or creating a contact, and nothing is created when no record matches. Through Zapier you can map the summary and action items into fields you choose, as text. There is no native Pipedrive integration, and a native Salesforce connector is still rolling out.
  • Nordic languages stop at the desktop. The desktop app transcribes 31 languages, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian included, and follows a meeting that switches between them. The phone apps cover 17 languages without those three, so an in-person meeting in Stockholm is the one it cannot record.
  • The data stays in the US. Granola states that it does not offer EU, UK or other regional data residency. On the Basic and Business plans, anonymized data trains its models unless each user opts out.

Pricing (October 2026): Basic is free with 30 days of note history. Business, where the CRM integrations start, is $14 per user per month, billed monthly. Enterprise is from $35.

How do the Granola alternatives compare?

Spiich creates and updates CRM records. Fireflies.ai, Leexi and HubSpot's own notetaker fill CRM fields, after a rep approves them or with an add-on. Fathom, tl;dv and Otter.ai write summary text into a field, and Granola and Jamie attach a note. Data stays in Europe with tl;dv, Leexi, Jamie and, as an option, Spiich.

Scandinavian means Swedish, Danish and Norwegian transcription. CRM plan is the monthly price per user of the cheapest plan that reaches the CRM, billed annually, except Granola, which bills monthly. "Optional" means a desktop app records without the bot, and Fathom's bot-free recording is in beta on Mac. Leexi transcribes 100+ languages without listing them, and Otter's $8.33 plan syncs one user to the CRM.

Best Granola alternatives for sales teams in 2026

1. Spiich

The pick when the call should leave the CRM updated rather than annotated, on Attio and Pipedrive as well as HubSpot. How Spiich handles meetings →

2. Fathom

The best free starting point, as long as the CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce.

3. Fireflies.ai

The strongest all-rounder of the established notetakers, with a review step before anything reaches a CRM field.

4. tl;dv

The closest thing to Granola with data in Europe, plus a CRM field it fills on its own.

5. Leexi

The deepest CRM write of the European notetakers, if you budget for the add-on.

6. Jamie

The most direct Granola replacement for European teams, with the same ceiling on the CRM.

7. Otter.ai

Fine for calls in English. For a team selling in the Nordics, the language list rules it out.

8. Your CRM's own notetaker

Test it before you buy anything. On HubSpot Sales Hub it already writes more to the CRM than Granola does.

How should you test a Granola alternative before switching?

Record the same three calls with Granola and with the tool you are considering: a discovery call, a call in your buyers' language and a meeting in person. Then open the CRM, not the app, and count the fields a rep still had to type, the missing records and the follow-ups nobody drafted.

The tool that leaves the shortest list is the one to roll out.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Fathom records and transcribes without a limit on its free plan, and syncs notes to HubSpot or Salesforce for up to three users. tl;dv's free plan records without a limit and writes AI notes for 10 meetings a month. Fireflies.ai and Otter.ai also have free plans, capped by storage or minutes.
Yes, on the Business plan at $14 per user per month. Granola adds a meeting or a note to the contact, company or deal you choose, and does not document updating properties, moving a deal stage or creating records. Through Zapier you can map the summary into fields you choose, as text. Spiich updates HubSpot deals and contacts directly, or as proposals you accept.
Salesforce is an Enterprise feature that Granola is rolling out to selected workspaces, with Zapier as the route for everyone else. There is no native Pipedrive integration. Spiich works with Pipedrive natively and with Salesforce after onboarding.
On the desktop, yes: Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish are among its 31 desktop languages. The phone apps support 17 languages, without Swedish, Danish or Norwegian, so in-person meetings in those languages cannot be recorded. To update the CRM by voice in Swedish between meetings, see the best voice-to-CRM tools.
Jamie records without a bot only. Spiich, tl;dv, Leexi, Fireflies.ai and Otter.ai offer a desktop app that records without one alongside a meeting bot, and Fathom does the same in beta on Mac. With no bot in the call, telling the room it is being recorded is up to the rep.
Granola records without a bot and is built around a notepad you type into during the call. Fathom, Otter and Fireflies join with a bot by default and also record from a desktop app. In the CRM, Granola attaches a note, Fathom and Otter write summary text into deal fields on higher plans, and Fireflies fills properties after review. All four store data in the US by default.
Basic is free with 30 days of note history. Business is $14 per user per month, billed monthly, and adds the CRM integrations. Enterprise starts at $35 per user per month and is the only plan with annual billing.
In the US. Granola states that it does not offer EU, UK or other regional data residency, and provides a data processing agreement based on the EU's standard contractual clauses. On the Basic and Business plans, anonymized data trains its models unless each user opts out.

Should you keep Granola or replace it?

Keep Granola if the notes are only for you and nobody needs the CRM updated afterwards. Replace it when the notes are for the CRM. List the changes a call should leave behind, from a note to a new deal with a next step and close date. Then pick the tool that makes those changes in your buyers' languages.

If you are on HubSpot Sales Hub, test the notetaker you already pay for first.

Turn every sales call into a CRM update

Spiich records the call, with or without a bot, then updates the people, company and deal in HubSpot, Attio or Pipedrive and drafts the follow-up for you to send.
