# The mobile app

> The Spiich app for iPhone, iPad and Android is the client for voice on the move. Debrief a call, photograph a business card, check My Day and read a briefing, all from the same account as the web app.

## Before you start

- An iPhone, iPad or Android phone.
- A Spiich account, set up first on a computer. First-run onboarding does not run on a phone.

The phone app is deliberately narrow. It does the things you do between meetings: talk to Spiich, capture something you were handed, and check what is next. Anything administrative stays in the web app.

## Install and sign in

1. **Get the app**
   On iPhone or iPad, install Spiich from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/spiich/id6751842949). On Android, install it from [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.d3nnis38.spiich).

2. **Sign in**
   Enter your Spiich email and password, or tap **Continue with Google**. It is the same account as the web app, so there is nothing separate to create.

3. **Enter your verification code if asked**
   If two-factor authentication is on for you or required by your workspace, Spiich emails a six-digit code and the app shows a verification step before it finishes signing you in. See [Two-factor authentication](/help/workspace/two-factor-authentication).

4. **Land on Chat**
   The app opens straight into chat. Tap the sidebar button at the top left for your conversations and for **My Day**; tap the pencil icon for a new chat.

The app follows your phone's light or dark appearance automatically.

## What it is best at

### Voice, hands nearly free

Hold the record button in the message bar and talk. You get a live waveform while you speak and a cancel option, and the message is transcribed into the conversation. This is the fastest way to debrief a call from the car or between meetings: say what happened, and Spiich takes it from there. iOS asks for microphone access the first time. See [Voice updates](/help/chat-and-voice/voice-updates).

_A debrief you can say out loud:_
```
Just finished the call with the operations lead. They want a pilot on two sites in October, budget sits with the CFO, and the blocker is their current contract running to year end. Update the deal and draft the follow-up.
```

### Photograph a business card

Tap the plus button in the message bar, then **Take photo** or **Photo library**. Spiich reads the card, the whiteboard or the document and acts on it, so a card you were handed at an event becomes a contact without typing. You can attach up to 10 images to one message.

### My Day, briefings and debriefs

Open the sidebar and tap **My Day** for the day's meetings. Tapping a meeting gives two tabs:

- **Briefing**, what to know before the call, with an **Ask about this meeting** prompt for anything the brief did not cover.
- **Debrief**, where you add notes after the call or ask Spiich what happened.

My Day on the phone needs a connected Google account with meeting briefings enabled. Without them the app says so rather than showing an empty list. See [Meeting briefings](/help/meetings/meeting-briefings).

### Full chat replies, on a small screen

Answers are not stripped down. CRM tables, entity links and editable email drafts all render the same way they do in the web app, so you can read a list of records or check a draft before you are back at a desk.

## What it cannot do

- It cannot record a meeting. Voice messages are short notes for transcription; recording a call is the desktop recorder's job. See [Install the meeting recorder](/help/meetings/install-the-meeting-recorder).
- There is no settings screen and no sign-out button. You are signed out only when your session stops being valid.
- Background Agents, Tables and workspace administration are web app only.
- First-run onboarding is skipped on narrow screens, so a brand new workspace has to be set up on a computer before the phone is useful. See [First run setup](/help/getting-started/first-run-setup).
- One message accepts at most 10 images.

## If something goes wrong

- **"My Day is not available".** Either your Google account is not connected or meeting briefings are switched off for your user. Sign in to the web app, connect Google at [`Settings > Integrations`](https://app.spiich.ai/settings/integrations), enable meeting briefings, then reopen My Day on the phone.
- **The app says microphone permission is required.** iOS asks once and remembers your answer. Allow the microphone for Spiich in your phone's own Settings, then reopen the app and try the record button again.
- **The camera will not open.** The app shows **Camera Permission Required** with an **Open Settings** button. Tap it and allow camera access, then take the photo again.
- **You want to sign out and cannot find the control.** There is not one. Delete and reinstall the app to force a fresh sign-in, or ask support to revoke the session.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the Spiich app on Android as well as iPhone?

Yes. Install it from Google Play on Android and from the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Both sign in with the same Spiich account and see the same workspace.

### Can I record a meeting with my phone?

No. The mobile app records short voice messages for transcription, not calls. Recording a meeting needs the Spiich Recorder on macOS or Windows, which detects the meeting window and captures the audio.

### Do I need to set anything up on the phone?

Nothing beyond signing in. Every connection and setting, including your CRM, mailbox, calendar and meeting briefings, is configured once in the web app and applies to the phone automatically.

### Why does My Day look empty on my phone?

My Day is built from your Google Calendar and your meeting briefings. If Google is not connected, or briefings are off for your user, the app explains which one is missing instead of showing meetings. Fix it in the web app at `Settings > Integrations`.
