# We gave Claude a job interview.

> We asked Claude to run a B2B team's sales admin: join calls, update the CRM, brief reps, prospect overnight. It met 1 of 6 requirements - and recommended an agentic sales platform instead.

The role: assistant for your sales team. Knows every deal, updates the CRM by voice, prepped before every meeting.

Thanks for the interview Claude. You should stick to coding, not sales. We'll intro you to our CTO.

## Claude is always one prompt away. Spiich works on the first one.

Every chat tool waits to be asked. Spiich sends the first message of the day.

| The working day | Claude | Spiich |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Your morning | An empty chat box | Your day, ranked: briefs ready, follow-ups drafted, highest-ROI tasks first |
| Meeting briefs | When someone asks, after a few minutes of searching | On every rep's phone before every meeting |
| In the meeting | Can't join calls | Records natively, no bot in the room. The call becomes CRM data |
| CRM updates | Rep types out what changed, confirms every write | A 30-second voice debrief, or automatic from the call |
| Contact data | Public web, pattern-guessed emails | Phone numbers and emails found and written straight to the CRM |
| Background agents | Build the workflow, connect the tools, tune it - and it still never hears from your CRM | One prompt: "Flag any deal quiet for 10 days and draft the nudge." Running tonight |
| Setup | Connectors, prompts and tuning, per user | Connect your CRM, email and calendar. 3 minutes |
| Who runs it | Your busiest person | Us |

## FAQ

### Can I just use Claude or ChatGPT for sales instead of a sales platform?

You can use a general AI assistant for individual sales tasks - drafting an email, summarising a call you paste in, researching an account. But you become the operator: you supply the context, remember every task, and carry each result into the CRM yourself. Spiich is an agentic sales platform - it joins your meetings, writes to HubSpot, Attio, Pipedrive, and Salesforce, and runs prospecting and follow-up work on its own triggers, unprompted. See [what it takes to run sales on a general AI assistant](https://spiich.ai/articles/build-vs-buy-ai-sales-agent#what-about-claude-or-chatgpt).

### What is the difference between Claude and Spiich?

Claude is a general-purpose AI assistant made by Anthropic - brilliant at writing, analysis, coding, and answering questions across every domain. Spiich is an agentic sales platform for B2B teams: it does one job - sales - with native CRM integrations, a meeting note taker, automated morning briefs, and background agents that prospect and qualify leads while your team sells. See [what Spiich is and how it fits your day](https://spiich.ai/help/getting-started/what-is-spiich).

### Can Claude update my CRM automatically?

Not on its own. With connectors, Claude can reach some tools, and Claude Cowork can run a task you set up on a schedule - but it does not join your meetings, and nothing it does is triggered by what happens in your CRM. Spiich updates HubSpot, Attio, Pipedrive, and Salesforce automatically after every meeting and call: deal stages, amounts, contacts, tasks, and next steps, written back without anyone asking. See [how post-meeting CRM updates work](https://spiich.ai/help/meetings/meeting-notes-and-crm-updates).

### Do I have to choose between Claude and Spiich?

No - they are different tools for different jobs. Keep Claude for research, writing, and everything else a great generalist is for. Spiich runs your sales motion: prospecting, meeting admin, CRM hygiene, and follow-ups. Think everyday shoes and racing shoes: you own both, and you know exactly when to wear which.

### Where is my sales data processed, with Spiich and with Claude?

Spiich offers optional EU data residency: with it, your production data, including the application, databases and AI inference, is stored and processed in the EU/EEA. The one exception is agent web search, which in every case sends agent-generated queries, not attributed to your company, to a limited set of web-search providers outside the EU/EEA. By default, data may be processed worldwide, including in the United States. Either way, Spiich never uses customer data to train models. [Anthropic's privacy policy](https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy) states that personal data is transferred to its servers in the US under standard contractual clauses. Spiich runs large language models too, under zero-retention terms, with inference in the EU/EEA if you choose EU data residency. The question is not whether AI is involved, but whether your pipeline data can stay in the EU while it happens. See [the Trust Center](https://spiich.ai/trust).

### Is Spiich just a chatbot with a sales prompt?

No. Chat is one of three modes. Spiich is wired into your CRM, email, calendar, and meetings through native integrations, and its background agents act on schedules and CRM events - no prompt required. Large language models are one component; the platform around them - the triggers, the integrations, and the memory of your pipeline - is what gets the work done. See [how background agents work](https://spiich.ai/help/background-agents/background-agents-overview).
